I decided that the Easter break was time to catch up on my massive backlog of magazines that I just haven’t had time to read, I seriously need a couple of clones of me right now.
I know this is an oldish advert of Miss Dior Cherie but I just loved its Mary Poppins whimsicalness (I know that’s not a word) … how I would love to fly above the rooftops of Paris right now.
Oscar-winning filmmaker Sophia Coppola has brought her dream-like photographic style from “The Virgin Suicides” to the happy commercial for Dior’s Miss Dior Chérie fragrance. The commercial, which first aired in the US in November last year, follows Belarusian model Maryna Linchuk dressed sweetly in Dior, riding a bicycle around Paris. Pastel helium balloons, a gourmet French patisserie and Brigitte Bardot’s “Moi Je Joue” combine to make this a playful short film you’ll want to watch again and again. (Marie Claire)
