Celebrating Women’s Beauty

Earlier this week I had the pleasure of going to Nivea‘s ‘body:beauty\’Art Exhibition at the Charles Hewitt Gallery, Darlinghurst celebrating Women’s Beauty through art and raising money for the SISTER2sister Program.

There were 20 art works on display – paintings, drawings and photographs – each for sale by silent auction, with ALL proceeds being donated to the SISTER2sister Program.  The artistic works were by some of Australia\’s leading contemporary artists, including:  Suey McEnnelly, Adrian Lockhart, Patricia Casey, Ann Cape – all of whom have shown work at the Art Gallery of NSW – alongside renowned fashion and beauty photographers including Juli Balla, Georges Antoni and James Cant.

The SISTER2sister is a program that makes a positive difference to the lives of ‘at risk\’ teenage girls. The girls are matched with a ‘Big Sister\’ mentor to inspire them and are provided with opportunities to enhance their self esteem, develop strategies for personal development and create the future they want.  I so want to see if I can do something with them.

It was a lovely evening, I went along with my adorable friend Amanda Cole and we enjoyed a girlie gossip with the always stylish Beauty Queen Zoe Foster from Primped as we enjoyed a lovely glass of bubbles, yummy canapés and of course the gorgeous artworks.  On departure we got the bestest goodie bag filled to the brim with lots of little surprises.
