You know how much I love my scents (and cents) and my need to scent the house is exacerbated during Winter because I can’t have my windows wide-open. Recently the lovely people from Eutopia sent me their Tahitian Vanilla soy candle and Frangipani Diffuser.
I have the candle sitting on my desk burning as I type and the diffuser in my bedroom scenting the stale winter air. With plenty of pretty scents to suit your nose, Frangipani, Vanilla Plum, Coconut & Lime, Tahitian Vanilla and Wild Rose & Geranium and priced from A$6.99 and A$19.99 respectively, you will want to snuggle up on the sofa with a good book and a glass of wine. The range also carries Bath Bombs and Vegetable Soaps and matching Hand Creams. Definitely a luxurious collection without the expensive price tag.
Available now at Target stores nationally.
Another lovely Australian candle is home-made by Pascaline in Melbourne.
Their soy candles are made from 100% natural soy bean oil, a renewable source. Apparently it takes 60 kgs of soybeans to produce 10kgs of soybean oil. They contain no colouring or additives and their wicks are made of Lead free, natural cotton.
Although more expensive than paraffin candles, soy candles last 50% longer, produce 90% less soot and are easier to clean after a spill. They use essential oils for the lovely scents, although the scent is not as strong as I like it is perfect for the bedroom because it’s not too overpowering. I love the summery scent of Gardenia they sent me.
