Ritmo de la Noche means:Â Rhythm of the Night
Cosmo\’s 30 Days of Fashion and Beauty came to life at Circular Quay in Sydney with a parade of Crystelle Lingerie\’s sexy women\’s lingerie with a taste of Spanish, enough to melt any Casanova\’s heart.
Working only a stone\’s throw away, I threw down some sushi and hotfooted it to the Quay to see what all the commotion was about. With invitation in hand I picked up my goodie bag and took place at the head of the line to catch a glimpse of the show.
Jodie Gordon, controversial Aussie actress and brand ambassador flaunted her beauty and style and opened the parade to the flash of paparazzi. A suite of young girls dazzled the catwalk in sensual and exotic fashion to familiar Spanish rhythms.
The lingerie was hot, so hot that I could imagine a steamy summer\’s night in Spain. My mind drifted back to the tapas and wine bars of Madrid where stunning Spanish goddesses would take to the dance floors with their salsa and rumbas. The parade ended and it was then that I spotted a bar in the corner serving Midori (no I didn\’t sneak one). Guests were lining up for their free hairstyles by Toni and Guy and free manicures to boot.
With only one hour spare I couldn\’t wait in line although I did manage to squeeze in a quick fashion shoot for the next issue of Cosmopolitan! Lack of airbrushing aside, I still felt special, particularly with my goodie bag in tow. The smile on my face said it all.
Back in the office the girls crowded around and I tore through my bag like it was my birthday. Disappointingly there was no lingerie or copies of Cosmopolitan. I was pleased to find a selection of Ultrathins pads, a White Glo tooth whitening kit, Melody Gardot CD, Playboy men\’s cologne, Arnott\’s Shapes, spring water and perfume samples. Not at all bad for a Friday lunch break!
