Snoopy turns 60

Snoopy gets a designer makeover

by Sassi Sam on 23 October , 2009

Good Grief Charlie Brown, Snoopy’s turning 60 next year!  And to kick off his birthday celebrations, Japan Fashion Week has given him a little designer makeover and have created a special exhibition at Tokyo Midtown.  International fashion brands Hermes, Chloe, Chanel and Balenciaga all created miniature looks for the beagle and his female companion. G.V.G.V., an edgy brand that shows in Tokyo this week, also designed its own pair of outfits with a distinct rock influence, complete with a guitar and microphone.

Snoopy always goes bare arsed so it’s nice to see him sporting some threads.  But what about Charlie Brown?  Surely he’s sharing the milestone birthday too and could do with a designer makeover?

I’m so glad Snoopy’s been given this touch of designer love, can you believe he’s turning 60, he’s older than Barbie, clearly he’s been getting a few stabs of botox to maintain his ‘pillow’ face :-)   I hope Charlie Brown gets shown some designer love too next year.

Which outfit do you like best?

Love,

Oh my Gosh! They are divine!
As much as I love Chanel, I think my favourite is the Hermes design. Alot of detail, and the craftsmanship is alot better. The Chanel one looks a little cheap (considering how stunning it usually is).
