Soomi Park LED eyelashes

Bright Eyes is an understatement

by Sassi Sam on 29 October , 2009

I really don’t know how I find some of these things but I hope you like them!

Artist Soomi Park has created LED eyelashes with the intent to illuminate eyes, making them appear bigger and more open. They have a mercury sensor that turns them on and off which is triggered by the tilt of your head.

Watch the video to see how they work, it’s around the 40 second mark that you can see the ‘how’.

Only in Japan … what I want to know is how bright they are from an ‘eyeball’ perspective?  Do they shine in your eyes and ‘blind’ you?

Please tell me what you think, I’m busting to hear your thoughts!

Hahaha – they are hilarious – I see them taking off in Rave Culture if they’re not already huge!

haha! Certainly isn’t anything I will be trying out for myself, but it’s an interesting concept.

Marlo – I so can see you wearing these out as a laugh one night!!! :-)

This is so nuts! I think they would be really annoying – surely? Surely they’d be dangerous for your vision as well.
Agree with Bronny – I can see them taking off in rave culture… like the dreaded glo-stick.

This week I have seen glow in the dark lingerie and now this! Both are utterly ridicious, Crazy!

I’m with you guys, that can’t be good for your vision.

Would have loved them during my clubbing days! Now, I’d be interested if they could help me read better at night….
