Natalie Portman for V Magazine

Natalie Portman for V Magazine

Natalie Portman is on three covers for November/December 2009 issue V#62 for V Magazine.  Shot by Mario Testino styled by Claire Richardson.

When I first saw this image, it reminded me of our gorgeous gal Ruby Rose and therefore leads into the Rhianna look!  WWD reports it was shot in London, she talks to the magazine about her first-ever sex scene in the upcoming war drama, “Brothers,” where she’s the loyal wife of a marine, played by Tobey Maguire.

What do you think?  Is she trying too hard?  I’ve been a long time fan of Natalie, she’s made it through the Hollywood landscape unscathed, it is doable but of course her parents are considerably different to other starlets!

I love Natalie, I think she is one of the most geniune and beautiful women in Hollywood, but I do think she is trying too hard in this. If they want to vamp her up a bit they should do something fresh – I think this look has been covered way to much. I think her vamped up look circa Closer (flapper girl bob with pale lips and flashing eyes) was more Natalie, and no one else was doing it at the time.
