My partner in crime Amanda Cole and I trotted off to the Westfield Bondi Junction\’s Luxury Precinct soiree all wrapped in gold (the precinct not us) to celebrate the iconic retail brands that have joined the shopping centre in 2009. Touted as Australia\’s fashion destination; Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Sass & Bide, Jayson Brunsdon opened their doors this year which has marked WBJ as the ultimate lifestyle & shopping destination, hosting high end international brands as well as Australia\’s top designers.
We were wined and dined by NBI\’s Maurice Terzini with top notch nosh and were served the yummiest antipasto and drinks from sleek black perspex bars propped up on each side of the gold room. Our favourite drink was the Piper Champagne & Cointreu Blush cocktails and lovely background live music entertainment by Phil Ceberano and his band.
Erika Heynatz was looking totally glamboyant in her Louis Vuitton outfit hosting the evening. The big announcement was the new venture for WBJ donating $15k to Whitehouse College. Leanne Whitehouse, principal of Whitehouse gave a heart warming speech and David Ruddick, WBJ Retail Manager announced that Bally, Tumi and other fabulous Australian designers will be joining the centre in 2010. Yippee for us!
We mingled with guests such Margi Millich from Sabatini, high end accessories designer Rachel Ruddick, celebrity stylist Kelly Smyth, Melissa Hoyer, Kerrie McCallum from Instyle.
The most fun was had when Amanda and I bumped into stylist Jeff Lack and his side-kick Ian. Lots of silliness ensued and it was a great way to kick off the start of the silly season!
