Bringing a touch of Venice to Bondi, Ravesi\’s cocktail lounge Drift rang in its second birthday with a ‘Venetian carnival\’ theme.

Kicking off at 8pm last Thursday, guests partied in a grand assortment of masks and Venetian-inspired headwear. (It was a little reminiscent of the Eyes Wide Shut film – but with clothing!)

Invitees included actor Michael Caton, Biggest Loser beauty Fiona Falkiner and actress Victoria Hill.

Guests grooved to the sounds of music duo In the Red and the pumped sets of popular Sydney DJ Man about Town. (Special mention must be made of Caton\’s dance floor moves, supported by a ‘designer\’ $2-shop mask.)

An array of canapés – including duck pancakes, chicken tartlets and prawn skewers – went down a treat, complemented by champers and a duo of Drift\’s most popular cocktails, Frosty Fruit and Toffee Apple.

With Drift\’s chic furnishings, its proximity to the beach and healthy quota of Bondi\’s beautiful people, it certainly made for the perfect start to the summer party season.
