Tom Ford has bottled the essence of Morroco in his Private Blend Bois Marocain. The vibrant warmth, richness and exotic mystique of Morocco is instantly felt upon the first impressions of the bottle, whilst the scent seals the deal, with its earthy hues, sumptuous woods and seductive complexities. Thuya, one of the region\’s most rare and precious woods, soars through the layers as the obvious heart of the concoction.
Private Blend Bois Marocain takes the art of perfumery to another level, with some of the finest and rarest ingredients. This enthralling scent captures nine orpur naturals and a medley of the highest grade raw materials, selected by a team of master perfumers.
The opening notes of Madagascan black pepper, cypress and bergamot provide the light to the rich, dark opulence to come. Baies rose orpur serves up a spicy, foral vibrance, whilst nutmeg and davana bring out an ambrosial sensuality. At the heart of the scent, velvety thuya surges through the layers like molten gold. Cedar essences like cedar atlas with Indonesian patchouli orpur, patchouli and earthy vetiver round off the scent in the final layer.
The new scent will be available in the original Private Blend packaging, which takes its cue from the dark brown glass apothecary bottles, used in perfume laboratories. Its simple sophistication and dark, opulent translucency seems to echo the fragrance perfectly, whilst the weighty design seems to match the somewhat tangible impression that the scent imparts. The scent will also be available in a 250ml, carved decanter, which boasts the highest level of craftsmanship.
For the Private Blend Bois Marocain EDP Spray 50ml, expect to pay around $290 and for the Private Blend Bois Marocain EDP Decanter 250ml, expect to pay around $750.
