Marie Claire Australia: a little bit country

| 28 March , 2010 | Reply

In the April 2010 issue of Marie Claire Australia we have a fashion pictorial entitled “A Little Bit Country” … the ultimate guide in offbeat boot scooting elegance in honour of the Tamworth Country Music Festival.  Photographed by Hugh Stewart and styled by Jane Roarty featuring model Kasia from Chic.

My favourite image is the amazing gingham dress by Alex Perry (A$8,700) in front of Tamworth’s Big Golden Guitar.  The Tamworth Country Music Festival is a well celebrated festival and in 2007 Forbes rated it as number 8 of the World’s Coolest Music Festivals!  There is much debate about when the music festival first started, but it’s safe to say it was between 1968 and 1973.

And the show stopper dress with the clown and the horse (taken at Australian Bushmen’s Campdraft & Rodeo Associations rodeo final) is an exhibition piece by Easton Pearson.  Other outfits include Louis Vuitton, Nobody, Marcs, Maticevski, Collette Dinnigan, Christopher Kane, Scanlan & Theodore, Willow, Mossimo and Sass & Bide.

I also featured Which Fashion Tribe Are You from this month’s issue of Marie Claire!

Beautiful down-to-earth Aussie fashion pictorial, just love it!
