I swear I have been waiting for months for this, I first saw the newsstand cover at least a week ago but it was all blurry and I was waiting patiently for the June issue to be released so I could post about it! So finally here we are, Kylie Minogue on the front cover in Yves Saint Laurent for a girlie issue of Elle UK’s June 2010 issue, photographed by David Slijper and styled by Anne-Marie Curtis.
This was the issue that we saw the sneak peak of the ‘blurry’ subscribers cover a couple of weeks ago, I’m definitely loving this cover!
Inside Kylie shares:
‘I’m not very good at long-term plans. I guess I’m a thrill-seeker; I certainly don’t always take the safe option.’
Q: What’s your attitude towards getting older?
A: I find it frustrating that you’re damned if you do and you’re damned if you don’t. If you look too good everyone is suspicious – how are you allowed to look so good? And if you look terrible, how dare you look terrible? Some time ago there was the headline ‘Kylie caught without make-up!’ Well, I don’t wake up with make-up on! I just thought [frustrated] ‘Ohhh.’
Q: What’s your guilty pleasure?
A: TV dinners. I love Jonathan Ross and Alan Carr’s chat show. And Pineapple Dance Studios – it’s hysterical. If I’m with Andrés, we have tapas takeaway from the restaurant at the end of my street.
Q: Is choosing a wedding dress something that might happen?
A: [Laughs] Who knows? It’s not on the cards now. Maybe it’s a path I’ll never go down. All I know is you can do worse than expect the unexpected.
