Bombay Sapphire’s Aussie $25K Cocktail Glass

You know how much I love any sort of bottle collaboration and this collaboration is very ‘precious‘.  Sotheby\’s, in conjunction with Bombay Sapphire, will hold a charity auction to raise funds for cancer research, at the Palazzo Colonna in Rome.

The Sotheby\’s and Bombay Sapphire\’s charity auction will feature 19 exclusive martini glasses, created by the world\’s most innovative designers.

The main attraction of the auction is the tall “Chalice” cocktail glass studded with 226 blue sapphires created by renowned Australian designer Peter Crisp.  How cool is that?

The art piece is an amazing fusion of glass, sapphire stones, mounted in gold and platinum and its approximate value is US$25,000.

The collection will also feature other incredible glassware designers like Tom Dixon, Karim Rashid, Marcel Wanders, Eva Zeisel, Dakota Michael Graves and others.

It’s so cool that there’s an Aussie connection, we are a talented bunch considering how small we are, I love it!
