So who is Illamasqua?
Illamasqua is make up for your alter ego; the brand launched a flagship counter in Selfridges on Oxford Street in the UK in November 2008 and has developed a cult following since said launch rolling out additional stores across the UK and Ireland. The phenomenal success of the brand led to it launching through leading US beauty retailer Sephora, less than a year after launching! Absolutely incredible!
Capturing the hearts and minds of all who dare to be different, the bold British night-time make-up brand empowers men and women to explore their alter egos. Created by a diverse and unique team that includes renowned make-up artist Alex Box and leading chemists and manufacturers of high-performance products, Illamasqua brings professional make-up to our streets.
Illamasqua has a huge range of colours and professional-quality product formulations, combined with stunning imagery and theatrical extravagance have earned Illamasqua cult status, as well as a die hard following amongst true originals including Courtney Love, Beth Ditto, Bat for Lashes, Sienna Miller, Karen O, La Roux and Lily Allen.
Standout products such as the unique Liquid Metals, inspiring Nail Varnish colours such as Collide and MILF, colour-true Lipsticks including Box and Corrupt and exclusive products such Illuminoil, Gleam Cream and Pure Pigment, have sent beauty addicts into a frenzy.
Standing for individuality and self-expression Illamasqua’s on-counter experience is as unique as the products themselves. All of the counter teams are experienced make-up artists and have been trained in ‘mirrorside manner’, ensuring that each individual customer receives a tailored on-counter experience, working with their artist to gain new make-up skills and develop a personalised look.
PAY ATTENTION SYDNEY GIRLS:
On selected counters – including the new Myer Sydney City store– customers can also have their make-up lesson filmed so they can more easily recreate the look at home. This is brilliant, how many of you head home and forget how to recreate your look?
Inspired by subcultures, developed by professional make-up artists, made by a unique British brand and worn by those who refuse to be everybody. Illamasqua is make-up for your alter ego.
