Last night Megan Gale launched her much anticipated swimwear range called Isola (meaning Island in Italian) in collaboration with Seafolly at a VIP party with WHO Magazine at a private resident in Vaucluse.
The sexy, chic tropical collection will come in a range of sizes from 8-16; it comes separates and one pieces to cater for women of all shapes and sizes, bursting with vibrant colours and watercolour floral prints. Megan also revealed stylish printed kaftans and maxi-dresses as part of the collection.
“I’ve been so busy, I’ve had no time to make a speech,” said Megan, who was joined by Sydney’s fashion friends, including beau Andy Lee, Ruby Rose, Sibylla Budd, Pip Edwards, photographer Jez Smith, designers Alex Perry, Josh Goot and Kirrilly Johnson.
Alex Perry said: “I thought it had Megan written all over it – It was her in the colour, her in the prints. Megan loves a good halter neck.”
Alex Perry believes her range will be a success: “It’s the fact that she understands real-women’s bodies. She’s got one that’s why I’ve always loved her on my runway,” he says. “She’s the ultimate glam girl and she’s translated that into her swimwear.”
The collection looks absolutely gorgeous and would be one that I would go and purchase. We can only assume that it will be sold in David Jones nationally but apparently they will be in stores mid-July 2010 and you can call (02) 8339 8222 for stockists.
