Christabel Draffin, The Makeup Mole
My friend Christabel Draffin, aka, The Makeup Mole was backstage at the Myer Spring/Summer 2010 fashion parade last week working with Alex Box and her team of make up artists using Illamasqua make up and she gives us the low down on what Jessica Hart was wearing and how you can recreate her two looks, catwalk and red carpet!
Over to you Christabel …
Last week\’s Myer Fashion parade was a very glamorous affair with models EVERYWHERE (it\’s the biggest show I\’ve ever worked on in terms of size), and celebs and camera crews milling around backstage.
Ruby Rose was getting her makeup done, Jennifer Hawkins and Kris Smith were preparing for the Press call and lovely Jess Hart was speaking to Alex Box, the makeup director for the show and Creative Director of Illamasqua, the cult UK makeup brand sponsoring the show.
Jess\’s regular makeup artist, Sue Marshall, talked about her look with Alex Box before the show and then selected Illamasqua products to make sure Jess looked her gorgeous self, in a way that worked with the overall look of the show. Many of the products she used were ones that we were using backstage to create the Ready to Wear and the Golden Goddess looks.
Sue does a lot of red carpet work with all kinds of celebrities, so performance is key for her in terms of product: “I was thrilled to discover Illamasqua at the Myer show and get to work with it”.
