Australia’s Next Top Model Finale Red Carpet Arrivals

Last night the country was kept captive as Australia’s Next Top Model Finale was shown live with audiences voting for the winning girl, Amanda Ware.

Walking the red carpet at Luna Park (Tuesday 28th September) were a plethora of Sydney’s socialites and high profile people; Erin McNaught, Ricki-Lee Coulter, Sophie Falkiner, Karl Stefanovic (how’d he slip in there? he has a 3am call time!), Jaime Wright, Tahnee Atkinson, Terry Biviano, Kate Waterhouse, Rebecca Jobson, Jordan Loukas, Jane Gazzo, and previous winners of ANTM Series.

Sarah was styled by Romy Frydman in an Alex Perry dress, Prada belt, Celine shoes and jewellery from Fairfax and Roberts. Hair: Sophie Roberts and Makeup: Sarah Tammer.

I was there in the studio audience and it was fantastic to experience and yes it was confusing and everyone was in a state of shock over the monumental stuff of of announcing the wrong winner, but I’ll talk about that in my next post.  I enjoyed being in the audience, it was an awesome atmosphere with lots of in between entertainment in the ad breaks, the ANTM girls’ parents were each asked to get up on stage and walk the catwalk, Sophie’s Dad and Kelsey’s Mum were absolute champs (all the Dad’s were) but Amanda’s Mum was so self conscious and shy about it that she couldn’t get into the spirit of it and I can understand that, deer in the headlights and all that.

Leaving the venue was a nightmare, they had closed off the top door and we were stuck for about 1/2hr not moving anywhere, then the vending machines for parking weren’t working and the poor guy at the window was very stressed … why don’t these venues have pre-payment for a flat fee for event nights? Seriously …

Anyway, all in all it was brilliant night but I so feel for Sarah and Amanda, the focus of the evening is mis-directed now which is such a shame.
