So, onto our interview with Elyse:
Sassi Sam: Congratulations Elyse on your partnership with Diva. How did this partnership come about? What do you love about Diva?
Elyse Taylor: My agency represents Alex Perry and I love Alex and have walked in a lot of his shows so I was very excited when they thought of me for the new diva campaign. I love the individual designs and eclectic nature of the range; you can wear the pieces with anything.
Sassi: Do you have any favourite pieces/or favourite collection from the current Diva collections?
ET: I am loving the Flirty Florals range which is in store at the moment but I am even more excited for the Summer 2010-11 collection. I can\’t wait for it to hit the diva stores for everyone to see! The colours are amazing and so great for Summer.
Sassi: What\’s your favourite accessory look at the moment?
ET: Once statement piece worn with a short symmetrical dress. I don\’t over accessorise but the right piece can really set off your outfit.
Sassi: Do you have any accessory tips for the current season you\’re loving?
ET: Keep it simple, layering when it works and clumps of different looking bangles.
Sassi: You\’re currently living in New York, what do you love about living in New York?
ET: I love the creative spirit of NY, everyone is driven and really interesting. There is also a lot of choices, you can get anything and everything at anytime.
Sassi: Do you have three must go to places that you would take your Aussie visitors to in New York?
ET: My loft apartment in The Village which I love, The Beatrice Inn for the novelty factor and Barney\’s for the shopping – it offers everything.
Sassi: What do you miss about home?
ET: The blue skies, the friendly people and the freedom to do spontaneous things like swim at the beach.
Sassi: When you\’re not working, what do you love to do?
ET: Hang out with my boyfriend, listen to music and watch old movies.
Sassi: If you weren\’t modelling, what would you be doing?
ET: Gosh I hate to think, I have been doing this for so long now but really probably studying at university.
Sassi: Which models do you look up to and inspire you?
ET: Erin Wasson because of her individualistic approach to life and personal style and Daria because she has remained at the top for such a long time.
Sassi: Would you rather hit the beach or curl up on the sofa and watch a dvd?
ET: Definitely hit the beach unless I had been working non stop.
Sassi: How do you keep in shape and maintain a balance in your life?
ET: I go to the gym when I can, drink in moderation and try and eat an abundance of whole food.
Sassi: What is the one food you can never resist?
ET: Pizza and mash potatoes with gravy.
Sassi: Who is your dream designer and photographer you would love to work with?
ET: A combination of Helmut Lang and Steven Meisel.
Sassi: What beauty products would we find in your handbag?
ET: A lot of SK-11 product, Lucas papaw ointment and a Stiller concealer.
Sassi: What beauty products do you splurge on, and which do you scrimp on?
ET: I always splurge on a good cleanser, toner and night cream. Looking after my skin is important and I don\’t really wear much make-up when I am not working.
Sassi: Favourite place to visit in the world and why?
ET: The Bahamas because it so culturally different from Australia, London because of its architecture and history and Mexico because of its adventure factor.
Thanks for your time Elyse … Isn’t she just divine?
