I\’ve got a confession to make. For the past 6 weeks I have been having nightly dalliances the Antipodes range and oh how sweet they have been. In my SSFW (that\’s secret skin fantasy world for the uninitiated), I dream of nightly facials where my complexion is gently buffed into creamy, dreamy perfection, leaving me to emerge a beautiful makeup free swan. The reality is far more DIY (and decidedly less swan like) but with the Antipodes collection of heavenly products, my SSFW dreams are that little bit closer.

Let\’s start with the Organic Grapeseed Butter Cleanser, 75g, $46.00 or, as I refer to it when we\’re alone together, the everyday yucky face residue slayer. And oh how it slays! More of a thick balm than a traditional cleanser, this divine smelling golden paste is massaged into dry skin to literally lift away the daily grime. I like to really massage the product into my face then use a warm muslin cloth to gently exfoliate and remove. Chock full of organic oils and bioactive botanicals your skin not only feels clean but nourished and soothed, the perfect canvas for any number of Antipodes luscious serums.

This all sound amazing, I hear you saying, but what about those mornings when I hit snooze or discover my cat creating a nest out of my muslin cloth. I hear you! Sometimes you need a speedy alternative. Enter Natural Hallelujah Lime & Patchouli Cleanser, 100ml or 200ml ($39.00/$56.00). With its handy pump top (seriously, is there anything more convenient for the lazy cleanser?) and thick, creamy formula, you can practically feel the avocado oil marching into your pores and chasing away the dirt while the lime and patchouli essential oils get you glowing while smelling all delish and lime pie like. This has become my fave morning cleanser, leaving my skin super clean for my daily base.

So we\’ve scrubbed up and now my face is screaming out for some TLC, a little something to help me reach the heady heights of skin nirvana. Enter the certified Organic Divine Face Oil, 25ml $33.00. I\’m not going to lie, I worship this product. It sits on a small pedestal in my bathroom, elevated above my other products. Ok, so I\’m lying about the pedestal but the worship is real. I could tell you all about this oils amaze-tastic anti-ageing properties (truly amaze-tastic, think collagen and plumping), or the blast of essential fatty acids it gives your skin or even its ability to annihilate free radicals on sight, but instead I\’m just going to tell you that applying this oil every morning is reason enough for me to get out of bed. Even on in the rain. Even on the weekend. Fact.

But what about the moisturiser, I hear you screaming? We need some moisture! I hear you and Antipodes delivers again with their daily moisture range. Options, I\’ll give you options. Choose from the Organic Rejoice Light Facial Day Cream, 60ml, $53, Vanilla Pod Hydrating Day Cream, 60ml, $48.00 or the Avocado Pear Nourishing Night Cream, 60ml, $49.00. While I love each equally, like a good beauty editor should, there is one product that sometimes clambers to the front of the bunch and that\’s the Avocado Pear Nourishing Night Cream. While the Rejoice Light Facial Day Cream fulfils my anti-ageing, daily regenerating needs and the Vanilla Pod hydrates like a beautiful, chai scented dream, the night cream is where it\’s at for me. The potent combination of pure avocado oil, sandalwood, ylang, ylang, marigold and vinanza grape has not only resurrected but practically transformed my tired, somewhat dull skin. I massage it in to clean skin post cleanse and go to bed with the smug smile of someone who knows she\’s giving her skin some late night delight.

So that\’s a day in the life of an Antipodes convert. Stay tuned for the next post where we\’ll discuss a few weekly gems from the range. Mmmm Aura Manuka Honey Mask, luscious!
