As you know lovelies, I was invited to attend the launch of Target\’s new Designers for Target Collection revealing Stella McCartney\’s second designer collaboration with Target at Altona House in Point Piper this month. Well tomorrow, let the stampedes begin, the new collection is in-store TOMORROW, Friday 29th October.
It was a magical evening and as you know I just loved it and I loved the collection, it\’s very hard to choose a favourite piece. But firstly, remember when I shared the exciting news that you could score a pre-shop of the Stella McCartney collection before everybody else with a Target Stylist and $1500 to spend? Well the winners have been chosen and big congratulations to them:
- ACT – Rina Mynott and Sharyn Girvan
- NT – Annaliese rose and Kolena Buck
- SA – amanda young and Sandra Lolic
- WA – Justine Sultana and Lynsey Matthews
- VIC – Wendy Lee and Nerida Bird
- TAS – Christie Roberts and Blair Hyland
So what pieces do you think they should choose to purchase with their $1500 ea? Well I\’ve chosen a few of my favourite pieces that they might like to add to their wardrobe:
First up, I love the Tulip Shaped Trench with Belt ($249) in off-white and navy, now clearly for the office, you\’ve gotta put a cami under it, but take the cami off, add some bling, strap some heels on and voila it goes from day to night.
Next up, I\’m loving the Short Jacket in Raglan Sleeves in black ($179), the French blue Lace Top ($149) matched with the Tight Mesh Trousers ($99), I love how they have mixed the blue with the black and the lace top and jacket can be worn with jeans, or shorts and of course the Trousers can be matched with anything from the collection or with something from your current wardrobe.
As I mentioned in my previous article I loved the Gathered Silk Dress ($299), I loved it in the nude pink shade as that is the strongest colour trend for this summer, but I do like it in the black as well, you can\’t go wrong with a LBD as you know! You can totally mix up your accessories with this dress, and create different looks by changing your shoes, bags and bling!
The animal print continues to be a trend and I like the Navy Print Shirt with Tie ($119), it also ties in with the nautical theme nicely and you can team this top with anything, including the Ankle Grazer Jeans in either grey or light blue denim, I prefer the grey because it would go more in my wardrobe.
The Heavy Lace Embroidered Strapless Dress is a must have for the wardrobe this summer ($229), it just is! And I can\’t go past the Rouched Panel Dress in Magenta ($169), I just can\’t!
And for the accessories, I\’d definitely be picking up the LOVE bracelets that are $29ea, a black Frame Clutch ($69) and either the black or white Tote Bag ($99).
So I\’ve gone a bit over budget (totals $1718), but hey that\’s okay, told you it was a covetable collection!
Lucky Girls, they\’ll have so much fun!
Don\’t forget the Stella McCartney for Target collection are launching in Target\’s 102 stores nationally tomorrow (Friday October 29th, 2010). For more information, call 1300 130 000 or go to www.designersfortarget.com.au.
