In time for World AIDS Day on December 1st, L\’OrÃ©al has produced this beautiful limited edition 2011 â€˜Hairdressers Against AIDS\’ calendar featuring 12 stunning, committed women including Lou Doillon, CÃ©cile Cassel, Audrey Marnay, Doutzen Kroes, Diane Kruger, Ludivine Sagnier, Monica Cruz, Vanessa Paradis, Monica Bellucci, Audrey Tautou and Debra Shaw who volunteered their services to show their solidarity with L\’OrÃ©al in the fight against HIV/AIDS (Hair and photography by John Nollet).
In 2011, â€˜Hairdressers Against AIDS\’, a preventative education program celebrates its 10th anniversary. Every year L\’Oreal\’s worldwide network of trainers provide simple, educative training to thousands of hairdressers on issues linked with HIV/AIDS. To date, 1.3 million hairdressers in 26 countries, including Australia have received this training. Once trained the hairdressers go on to play a fundamental role in raising awareness and improving education.
Available for purchase for $20 through selected participating salons with all proceeds raised in Australia will be donated to the Victorian AIDS Council.
Lucky Melburnians can pop into the World AIDS Day Blow Dry Bar at the L\’OrÃ©al Training Academy. The L\’OrÃ©al Professional Products Division will be hosting its very own Blow Dry Event where anyone can turn up on the day, make a donation and receive their very own, complimentary wash and blow dry by the team of expert hair stylists involved.
