Alannah Hill has upped the girlie ante for her Autumn/Winter 2011 campaign collaborating with Swedish illustrator Veronica Ballart after discovering her feminine and romantic illustrations earlier this year and it’s just so gorgeous and girlie!
The Ballart illustrations, which will feature in boutique windows and packaging, will launch in conjunction with the Autumn/Winter 2011 collection in stores January 2011 and I cannot wait to see them!
Through the set of four illustrations a dream-like world has been created around the ‘Alannah Hill Girl\’, mysterious, coquettish, with a hint of 1950\’s glamour with a modern edge. The fuchsia and violet hues bring to life the games and adventures of a girl who doesn\’t play by the rules and enchants those around her. She glances at passers by with a mischievous look in her eye daring them to play with her. Flowing frocks paired with polka dot stockings swirl around her while she eats decadent cakes with her fingers and floats through her whimsical life.
Ballart\’s signature delicate watercolour illustrations have appeared in international magazines such as Elle, DV Mode and Plaza and she’s worked for fashion brands Mango and Zara.
As much as I love it, you know I’m going to say I’m disappointed she didn’t collaborate with an Aussie illustrator, we have so many talented illustrators here but I’m not denying they aren’t gorgeous!!
