Yves Saint Laurent have released a new fragrance, a softer version of their popular fragrance Opium, Belle d’Opium . Belle d’Opium was inspired by the creative vision of Stefano Pilati, Artistic Director of Yves Saint Laurent.
The fragrance was created by Perfumer Alberto Morillas which they describe as:
What you feel when I dance, what you feel in the trance, are the spirals of spicy white flowers, addictive Casablanca lily, stimulating gardenia, bitter and elegant mandarin.
What it reminds you of& the intoxicating mists of a nargileh accord, a soaring alliance of smoky, tobacco, amber and fruity notes around scorched woods, velvety peach, and vibrant incense.
What remains when I go, the sensual lash of white pepper escorted by a warm, enigmatic and deep wake of dark patchouli, creamy sandalwood, noble and precious woods.
Fronted by Mélanie Thierry the campaign was photographed by Mert & Marcus. A film and theatre actress, Melanie recently received the César award for Most Promising Young Actress. The film “The Princess of Montpensier” in which she plays the leading role, was shown in competition at the 2010 Cannes Film Festival.
The fragrance bottle was inspired by the precious Inrô of Far Eastern warriors. Its glass tinted with the famous electric blue, its Matisse, its Passion.
