How exciting, HRH Crown Princess Mary has finally given birth to her twins, a boy and a girl reports SMH. Born last night (8th January) the new prince was arrive at 10.30am (about 8.30pm Sydney time), weighing 2.7 kilograms and was 47 centimetres long, while the little princess came nearly 1/2hr later weighing 2.5 kilograms and was 46 centimetres.

A proud Prince Frederik said the babies were ”a miracle times two” and that Princess Mary was doing well.

”The names we are still talking about, and I’ve just been told that he was born on Elvis’s birthday – then one of them we’ll call Elvis so far,” Crown Prince Frederik said outside Copenhagen’s Rigshopitalet hospital.

The babies are expected to leave hospital this week for the family home and join their brother and sister Christian and Isabella, Amalienborg Palace (check out their newly renovated Palace here). But we have to wait to find out the babies’ names until their christenings in two to three months, boo!

January 2011 is all about beautiful Aussie babies, first Miranda Kerr and now Princess Mary and is Mary not the ultimate “Perfect Princess?”
