I have been waiting for this for so long and I nearly fell on the floor when I saw it … Jennifer Aniston is barely recognisable on the cover and inside Allure’s February 2011 issue, photographed by Michael Thompson and styled by Paul Cavaco … OMG it’s a shocker and so over photoshopped and a teddy bear, really? So not Jen … and weirdly she looks like an Olsen twin relation!
Allure revealed these images on their website a short time ago and they say they drew inspiration from a 1960s photograph of of Brigitte Bardot with hairstylist Chris McMillan using clip-in bangs to fully replicate the look. Inside we learn:
Jen on her “Rachel” Haircut: “I love Chris, and he’s the bane of my existence at the same time because he started that damn Rachel, which was not my best look. How do I say this? I think it was the ugliest haircut I’ve ever seen.”
Jen shared her thoughts about TV & Dating: “You know what I find fascinating? The Bachelor. I was mesmerized by how these girls, they meet this guy, they have three dates together or something, and they’re weeping as though they’ve just lost the love of their life. I don’t understand that.”
“The look was sort of ’60s, ’70s,” said makeup artist Gucci Westman. “Bronzy with fresh pink cheeks.” First, Westman dabbed a bright pink cream blush on the apples of Aniston’s cheeks with her fingers and lightly dusted a matching powder blush on top. Next, she brushed a bronze eye shadow across the actress’s lids, lined the top and bottom lashes with chocolate brown pencil, and coated the lashes with black mascara. The last step: Westman used her finger to layer berry and nude lipsticks to give Aniston’s lips a hint of color.
What do you think? Are you with me on this one? I’ll update when the cover comes out.
Behind the Scenes Video:
Definitely worthy of a “Poor Jen” moment, I’m disappointed as I love her and I rarely diss photoshoots or stars.
