Pleasure State’s White Label “Bohemian Butterfly” Autumn/Winter 2011 collection and campaign is just so utterly gorgeous and features the adorable Alina Baikova photographed in a studio in Paris by photographer Anna Dabrowska.
Escaping into a fantasy world of a the Bohemian Butterfly, the collection invites us to travel through an elusive dreamlike world – and we know how much I love to do that!
“The butterfly is one of nature\’s most delicate creatures, symbolising femininity and beauty. New Bohemia is an experimental luxury: an exotic, unconventional and artistic way of life. Together, they create the exquisite Bohemian Butterfly: a transient hybrid fantasy infused with organic references and striking contrasts.” Pleasure State
There are five components to the collection of babydolls, chemises, underwire teddys, corsets and matching bras and knickers; “Sea of Dreams” made up of a neutral colour palette mixed with brightly hued highlights. Then there’s the “Orchid Print” with tattoo-inspired embroidery where the negative spaces make reference to the butterfly’s wings. The “Bohemia” range is sexy and striking with it’s red and black blend of lace designs. The “Phantom” comes in a duet of black and ecru inspired by the magnified scales of the butterfly wing. The final range “Utopia” epitomises the whimsical theme of this collection, with its glamorous Butterfly Print, digitally printed onto fine stretch mesh using ombre and pixellated effects.
