Also, to coincide with their Winter Season Fashion Launch today, David Jones is showing their commitment to childhood cancer research with the launch to staff of this year\’s Gold Ribbon Month. Â Each year, 600 kids are diagnosed with cancer in Australia, and tragically, every week 3 die from this horrible disease and over the last 15 years, David Jones has raised close to one million dollars in support of childhood cancer research at the Institute.
“Children\’s Cancer Institute Australia (CCIA) is extremely grateful to David Jones for their good corporate citizenship in the lead up to Childhood Cancer Awareness Day on the 15th of February. On this special day, staff will be wearing a “touch of gold”, and like the Greek king Midas, we hope they will be successful in their mission to raise $50,000 for childhood cancer research,” says Dr Daniella Goldberg from Children\’s Cancer Institute Australia.
Visit the CCIA website for more information on how you can help.
Update:Â Here are some preview pics that were taken earlier this afternoon at the practice run.
That’s all the information I can give you right now, I’ll share some more with images from the runway as soon as they become available.
