I am so excited to be able to exclusively reveal to you these behind the scenes photos from the Myer Autumn/Winter 2011 Fashion Show that has just finished in Melbourne tonight (March 1st) at the The Royal Exhibition Building.

Cult British beauty brand, Illamasqua takes us back in time at this year\’s Myer Fashion Show by taking the ladies out of the kitchen, with two retro beauty looks on the runway and I’ve got all the backstage pics and inside goss on the beauty looks.

Seen here is the glamboyant Jesinta Campbell wearing Cue with her hair stylist Keiran from L’Oreal.  Jes shared with me before she hit the runway that she was ecstatic to receive a call from Miss Universe Australia to say that she’d been booked to walk in Myer’s AW2011 show:

“I was over the moon and honored to be included in the parade. Myer is synonymous with style and the shows never fail to delight fashionistas. They are one of Australia’s largest department stores and their fashion stable is laden with the top national and international designs. The AW11 collection is incredible…bring on the cold weather :-)”

“The Myer team have been so lovely to work with, there is a great atmosphere backstage and the show is going to be beautiful 🙂 – Jesinta x

Both ready-to-wear and avante garde beauty looks presented at the show resembles looks from the 1950s blended with a touch of  urban versus military.

The ready-to-wear look (as seen on Jesinta above and Amanda Ware below) described by Illamasqa\’s Makeup Director, Nicola Burford as: “the skin is highlighted to perfection juxtaposed with the dark khaki and linked on set against a beautiful gold and lips as port wine”

  1. Sassi Sam says:

    Hi Kate,
This information came from Illamasqua directly and I have confirmed with them that Nicola used to work for MAC and now is a freelancer and Illamasqua hired her to be Creative Director for the Myer show.
