Picture this – it’s a sultry, warm afternoon. You’re lying on the beach under a multi-coloured umbrella and are being served unmonitored rounds of piña colada. You see a cow walk past, followed by an elephant and then you remember, you’re in India.
Inspired by a similar setting, ESCADA’s new Taj Sunset fragrance follows the journey of an exotic summer holiday on the picturesque beaches of Goa in India.
This limited edition summer fragrance is one season too late in Australia. It’s super sweet and tropical scent lingers on the skin for several minutes and is not recommended for the faint hearted. It’s almost like dipping yourself in a sweet mango puree.
But if you’re into scents that are sweet as sugar, then don’t even think twice about including this treat to your perfume shelf.
The overdosed fruity composition builds on a native Indian mango, the Alphonso, which is famous for its flavour and rich aroma. The subtle citrus note is overpowered but the blood orange ingredient creates a perfect contrast for a smooth finish. Middle notes of raspberry, pomarose and blossom evoke the flirtatious feminine senses. The base notes of sandalwood, musk and coconut leave a warm, creamy swirl that would make you want to dive into a milky bath.
Packed into a delightful bottle with intense orange, shades of yellow, the feminine, contemporary packaging style reflects on a sunset over the beach illustrated through the colourful graphics designed by Stephan Wilson. Commissioned exclusively for Taj Sunset, the pack design features a female silhouette and lotus flower set upon a bright and colourful world.
ESCADA Taj Sunset is available in 100ml bottle RRP$99.00 from March 13, at Myer, David Jones, The Perfume Connection and selected independents. For your nearest stockist call (02) 9695 5678.
