The biggest party celebrating Australia’s Fashion and Beauty industry is over and done with. The red carpet was rolled out. Celebrities dolled up in exquisite frocks. They posed for flashing cameras. They mingled, smiled, pouted and looked their fashionable best.
But what’s more exciting is what happened after the famous faces entered the four storey courtyard in Moore Park, Sydney, and we’ve got the goss as we go behind the scenes of the Prix de Marie Claire Awards that were held on March 24.
The grand doorway with overgrowing ivy opened to an intricate Parisienne setting that accommodated over 250 guests. The guests enjoyed a sumptuous continental feast, as they were seated on two concentric square tables adorned with antique glassware and fresh flower settings.
The aerial stunts performed by a young woman wowed everyone, as her acrobatic moves were an unexpected combination to the French champagne being served on tap.
The flowing French lace and curtain in the chateau underwent a dramatic drop when 40 stunning models emerged from a sculpture of balloons and smoke.
It took four weeks to build but 12 months to plan, 250 backstage workers, 500 roses, 75 magnums of champagne to create this backdrop for a prestigious award ceremony, hosted by Marie Claire.
