Bec & Bridge’s Spring/Summer 2011/12 “Violet Haze” strutted down the catwalk yesterday at 2011 Rosemount Fashion Week inspired by “Lauren Hutton walking down Fifth Avenue, wearing a crisp white. Suit, a fedora angled just so. The Chrysler Building glints in the late-afternoon sunshine, looming out of the skyline.”

The violet haze was very apparent during the explorer themed show.  Fedora styled hats “angled just so” made by Akubra for Bec & Bridge along with funky suede shorts were the focal point of this collection.  Looks like the resurgence of hats is on the way and could be a big trend for us next summer.

You can see The Chrysler inspiration in then clean lines and wonderful tailoring of the collection.  Lauren Hutton would love the beautiful suede tie belts which is very on trend for this summer.  The belts in bright colours are a great way to cinch your summer frocks and give you a gorgeous shapely  silhouette.  A range of wearable on-trend designs in beautiful sheer knits in gorgeous bright colours that will match back with shorts and pants already in your wardrobe adding a touch of sophisticated style to your outfit.  And the requisite beautiful print tops and dresses to add colour and sassiness to your wardrobe.

This label which began with two friends from design school realized that they had a shared vision, just gets stronger and stronger.
