This year, RAFW is in a serious holiday mood. Every mainstream designer label is getting their inspiration for next season from a holiday destination. And Talulah decided to dive into the culturally-enriched sea of Morocco and Turkey.
Entering into a land of exoticism and spices, Talulah’s Spring Summer collection took everyone on a free-spirited journey with its flowy and modern silhouettes. The runway saw unusual necklines and daring hemlines, almost challenging the European spring trend.
Even though the designer, Kelli Wharton, gave everyone a glimpse of an exotic holiday through her collection, we saw her signature Australian element in every piece. Pleated maxi skirts, crochet crop tops and intertwined wrap skirts, every outfit whispered easy glamour and sophistication. Its soft palette of washed chalks, corals, dull greys and olives, this Woven Dream was too feminine to be true. Oversized white ruffle dresses were tied together with one simple accessory – a knotted leather belt.
The models must be thanking their lucky stars this morning as not a single clatter of sky-high stilettos was heard from the runway. Talulah is holidaying like a true fashionista with nude tie-up sandals on the go.
More photos to come, these photos were taken by the Samsung NX10 camera with not enough lighting available.
