Ms Couture transformed her models into confectionary flavoured goddesses encased in a colour palette of mouth-watering sorbet tones of lemon, mint, pink, lilac and ice blue that would make Marie Antoinette drool for her Spring/Summer 2011/12 lingerie collection at RAFW last week.
Titled “Sorbet Soiree” the collection showcased a luxurious collection of feminine corsetry, undergarments and sleepwear with peignoirs and corsets coupled with sexy high waisted knickers as a focal point.
Ms Couture designer Juilee Chione-Tullio explained that her inspiration was wanting to immerse her guests in a “world of romance and flight of fantasia, a place where fashion and lingerie are infused.”
Trims included transparent appliqué treatments, bold mint toned ribbon work, pink shimmering beading, blueberry toned fringing and passionfruit coloured tattoo prints, all of which showcase and exalt the female form. The Ms Couture client embodies beauty, sultriness, and seductiveness and is the ultimate feminine goddess.
Ms Couture has used fabrications that are as soft as fairy floss, corsets are structured like chocolate topping and the trims are like the fine, delectable craftsmanship employed by old world Venetian artisans.
The creative team from Joh Bailey salons interpreted key elements of the collection including plaiting to create textured, volumous hair while the Napoleon Perdis crew created a colourful look that is an ideal accompaniment to the pastel-hued colour palette. OPI provided two complementary shades of nail polish in “Mermaid’s Tears” and “Pandemonium Pink”.
