Guerlain’s newest collection of Long Lasting Lipsticks “Rouge Automatique” in 12 playful shades feature the glamboyant Natalia Vodianova as the face of their campaign. In the words of Guerlain’s Creative Director Olivier Échaudemaison:
“Natalia\’s very youthful style, cheeky smile, lightness and freshness are irresistibly flirty.”
Inspired by the Guerlain archives, Olivier found an object created in 1936 named “Rouge Automatique”:
“Its technique was a revolution in itself. Today, the very 21st-century Rouge Automatique is created for a mischievous and stylish woman. In one flick of a finger, she reveals the lipstick that will embellish her smile and make her glow with radiance.”
Inspired by the beautiful creations from Guerlain\’s archives, “Ne m\’oubliez pas” (Forget me not), was the VERY FIRST lipstick created
by Guerlain in 1870. Aimé Guerlain takes up the principle of a cylinder used to mould candles at the time, in order to create the first lipstick. Rouge Automatique, the first lipstick without a cap and with a technique requiring a single hand: a small Art Deco wonder born in 1936!
The drawing that goes with the campaign symbolising Rouge Automatique features “lip and heart balloons” rising from stiletto heels, is an homage to Gruau. He gave his illustrations the chic style, allure and sophistication of a Parisian woman.
The collection features 12 playful shades ranging from vibrant pinks, delicious coral to a thrilling true red that will glide over the lips and melt on the mouth like a second skin with a secret new innovative formula with a non-oily finish yet ultra-moisturizing effect. The magic of a Cristal Pigment allows colours to express themselves and the long lasting hold in the rich yet non-sticky oil with high shine and refraction power to stay on the lips.
The Guerlain Rouge Automatique Hydrating Long Lasting Lipcolour Collection is available now at David Jones nationally with an RRP$55. For you nearest stockist call (02) 9695 4800.
