Be Bold & Beautiful with Avon’s Nailwear Pro-Intense Brights Nail Enamel
Elise Phillips, The Nail File
I have to admit that when I think about bright and bold nail polishes, Avon isn’t usually a brand that springs to mind. Traditional and conservative, yes – lovely pinks and reds, but certainly not bold corals and glittery purples. Happily, I will eat my words because these three new Avon colours have certainly changed my opinion.
Coral Beat is a thick and delicious coral that errs on the side of orange rather than peach. In fact, it’s very orange – reminds me of an orange ice block, bright with possibility in the middle of summer. Two coats gives solid colour and a glassy, glossy effect.
Electric Green is a really unusual colour – a green that is half way between lime and chartreuse, but it isn’t really bright the way lime is. Two coats is still slightly transparent – there is a hint of VNL (visible nail line), so you need three for total coverage.
While the other two are cremes, Vivid Violet is a multi-dimensional shimmer. The purple has hundreds of micro-flecks of glitter through it that reflects blue in various lights. Three coats gives total opacity in natural light, but any sort of artificial light shows that it isn’t 100% opaque – a really unusual formula, but definitely fun!
Avon’s new Nailwear Pro Intense Brights Nail Enamels come in 12mL (RRP $12.99) and are available through Avon Representatives nationwide now. To find your nearest Avon Representative you can call 1800 646 000 or visit www.avon.com.au.
