And this onesie, reminds me of Tron!
Inspired by contemporary art in an urban setting, the Resort 2012 Collection of Hervé Léger by Max Azria defines modern couture with unique exclusivity. Lubov Azria and the design team share the inspiration behind the making of the collection in this exclusive interview:
Q: What is the inspiration behind the resort 2012 collection?
A: For this collection, we were inspired by the “Art in the Streets” exhibit at the MOCA and the work of Keith Haring and Stephen Sprouse, among a few others, that has such a unique, modern approach.
Q: What fabrics were used and why?
A: Once again, we were able to reinvent the signature bandage to create truly powerful garments. We used bright colored graffiti jacquards and new hand-weaving techniques to create an artistic and original look.
Q: Are there any special details that are an important part of the collection?
A: Color and print blocking, contrast color binding and athletic silhouettes can be seen throughout the collection.
Q: Tell us about the color palette.
A:Â We used a lot of bold brights such as fuchsia and cobalt blue and then grounded the palette with black and off-white.
Q: How do the accessories tie into the collection?
A: The same elements used in the garments are carried through into the accessories—bold color, color blocking and standout resin beads that solidify the artistic and commanding statement of the collection.
I love the modern contemporary feel to the collection, it’s very artistic and of course the bold brights, I can never go past fuchsia.
