Last week Priceline launched the “The Priceline Sisterhood” initiative, a national community program that has been developed to respond to the major health and wellbeing concerns of Australian women with local celebs Laura Csortan, Katrina Warren, Toni Pearen and Penne Dennison attending to show their support.
The initiative will raise awareness and funds for six charities that provide help and support to women in the areas of heart health, mental health, family wellbeing and fighting cancer. The major health concerns were identified by Australia\’s Biggest Health Check, a groundbreaking survey of more than 25,000 women.
Amanda Connors, Priceline\’s Director of Marketing said “our major focus is on women\’s health and wellbeing. Australia\’s Biggest Health Check helped us better understand what health issues are keeping women awake at night, and now we\’re acting on that information.
“The Priceline Sisterhood will support leading charities in the areas of heart disease, cancer, post natal depression, Alzheimer\’s and life changing surgery for children. We\’re delighted to be supporting them in their great work.”
To celebrate the launch of The Priceline Sisterhood, leading Australian photographer Tony Potts was commissioned to capture a gallery of images that showcase the very real moments, people and stories behind the charities – their ‘Sisterhood Moments\’. The images include ‘moments\’ in the lives of patients, volunteers, ambassadors and employees right through from a 33 year old woman suffering from cervical cancer, to young researchers, to a small boy recovering from severe burns.
The Priceline Sisterhood charity partners including:
- Alzheimer\’s Australia
- Australian Cervical Cancer Foundation
- Look Good&Feel Better
- Moira Kelly\’s Children First Foundation
- Post and Ante Natal Depression Association (PANDA)
- Victor Chang Cardiac Research Institute.
To join the images of the charity partners, Priceline is calling on women across the nation to take part in the search for Australia\’s best ‘Sisterhood moment\’, by sharing an image of themselves with someone close to them. By doing so they will be contributing to the charities with Priceline making a $1 donation for every photo entered. To enter go to www.priceline.com.au.
