In a serious world constantly under threat from volcanic ash clouds, devastating earthquakes and never ending carbon tax debates, sometimes it\’s just nice to be whisked off to a far away land. One filled with sparkling diamonds, delightful baby blue packaging and a good looking guy playing guitar while at the same time serenading you with beautiful love songs that he wrote himself, of course.
Welcome to the world of Tiffany & Co.
In celebration of their new What Makes Love True website and app, the iconic jeweller treated guests in Sydney to a special cocktail event featuring an intimate performance with American singer-songwriter Joshua Radin, who has recorded a version of You\’re The First, The Last, My Everything for Tiffany.
The website, while very New York centric, is a return to good old fashioned romance. It features a short film directed by U.S. actor and husband of Christy Turlington, Ed Burns, which explores how various couples fell in love and got engaged. Additionally, there\’s the Art of Romance section which provides Tiffany tips on keeping the romance alive, such as NO. 32:
Keep Your Mystery.
It\’s really not necessary to keep all the cosmetic bottles out on the sink in full view.
As a magician might say, no peeking behind the curtain.
On top of this, you can mark your romantic territory on a New York City map and share with the world and there\’s even a lovers\’ guide to the big apple itself.
In true Tiffany\’s style, the site\’s aspirational and heartfelt. The true love stories are enough to bring out the mushy side of the most cynical of scorned lovers and if nothing else, it\’s always nice to have an excuse to do a little Tiffany-blue sky thinking.
