Maybelline NY is once again at the front of the make-up pack with the induction of the new Dream Lumi Touch Highlighting Concealer with one of Sassi’s favourite Maybelline models Emily Didonato as the face of the product.
The lightweight gel formula allows for easy application and blending, a trait I greatly admire in great (beauty) love, and the soft bristle brush applicator allows for precise placement.
What a concealer this is, and conceal, it does. But what has got me in a bit of confusion is its tagline as an illuminating gel-based concealer. Surely, I don’t want to attract any more attention to such hypothetical imperfections. It claims to deliver a touch of perfecting light to imperfections which had me and my saggy bags worrying just a teeny weeny bit, but alas, all is well thanks to glycerine, pearls and a polymeric film former. Skin is left dewey with a slight glow, creating the fantasy of healthy and luminous skin, in the place of warts and boils. The product is effortlessly absorbed and helps to provide a refined and traceless coverage that blends away imperfections, fine lines and fatigue.
The Dream Lumi Touch Highlighting Concealer is available in Ivory, Nude & Sand from July in Priceline, pharmacies, variety and independent stores this July for RRP $17.95.
