Finch shared: “I love the way Speedo swimwear captures the vibrant attitudes of Aussies who want to enjoy the water and sunshine we\’re blessed with during a long hot Australian summer – they are such an iconic brand.
Shooting the Summer \’11 Speedo campaign was a great experience for me and I\’m so thrilled to be working alongside a passionate team. I love the collection; some pieces really encapsulate Australian beaches while others make me feel like I\’m on holiday.”
Photographed at Bilgola Beach in October 2010, by Eugene Tan, otherwise known as “Uge”, the new collection has been named and inspired by him and his Aquabumps website, a daily documentary of Australian beaches.
Both born out of Bondi, Speedo and Aquabumps have a lot to thank the iconic beach for, so Speedo created a range of unique prints to apply to their swimwear. The Speedo Aquabumps collection will include board shorts for men and bikinis and one-pieces for women, as well a children\’s range, and will be available in limited numbers from August 2011.
The main women\’s Speedo Beach collection features two distinct themes. The pin-up girl will find a range of structured one-pieces and bikinis in shapes that will flatter any body type and for the more fashion forward woman a selection of slick shapes including sexy cut outs are applied to both one-pieces and bikinis.
All women\’s styles are available in size 8 to 18 with prices ranging from $34.95 for bikini bottoms to $110 for the upper end one-piece swimsuits.
The Speedo Summer 2011 collections will be available from Speedo stores, David Jones, and independent boutiques nationally from July 2011. Visit the Speedo website for more: www.speedo.com.au.
