Marloes Horst, International Brand Ambassador for Seafolly, Australia\’s Spring/Summer 2011 collection talks about her new role.  This Spring/Summer season, Seafolly have gone retro transforming the everyday Aussie beach girl into a globe trotting herione, from the Miami beach goddess to the Italian pin-up bombshell.

Retro romance is celebrated in a flourish of florals this summer, with Seafolly offering bold and bloomy prints alongside soft vintage checks and playful polka dots to create the ultimate modern-day boudoir look. Designed with a burlesque feel, lovers of prints can indulge in dreamy Tea Rose and Lola Rose floras, Sophia gingham, La Vita polka dot and the elegant Pin Up stripe in a flirty range of bustier bras worn with retro briefs, long-line bandeaus worn with hipster pants and the characteristic vintage boyleg and bustier maillots.

Inspired by the glamour of the ‘70s is Seafolly\’s Savage trend, a luxe safari look that heralds an update to last summer\’s must-have military and animal motifs which simply drip cool and is a favourite Sassi look. The monochromatic leopard print is incorporated with retro silohettes like the bustier, bralette, the boyleg short and the high waist brief in an ultimate clash of the eras.

Navy is this summer\’s answer to the classically safe black, you will find the colour dotted through the collection. From soft denim hues to deep indigo tones, this polished update to black works wonders with the vintage styling of summer in a variety of classic maillot, bikini and retro shapes.
