Chanel Relaunches No. 19 Fragrance

Last week it was Gabrielle “Coco” Chanel\’s birthday (August 19th) and in celebration of this big day, Chanel introduced its newest fragrance: No.19 Poudré.  Chanel No. 19 — the final fragrance created under the designer’s helm — (Number 19 represents Chanel’s birth date) has been updated.

The original scent, a mix of floral, wood and grassy notes, has been updated to feel fresher, more modern: it starts out super green, it soon warms into something sweet (though not overly so) and slightly musky with a powdery finish. The result is soft and subtle, but still classically Chanel.

The fragrance notes include: top notes of Grasse Neroli and Mandarin Orange; middle notes of Jasmine Absolute and Iris Pallida; base notes of White Musk Notes, Haitian Vetiver and Tonka Bean. The nose behind this fragrance is Chanel house perfumer Jacques Polge.
