Fashion icon Gwyneth Paltrow has been heating up the small screen this month with the DVD release of Country Strong. Paltrow stars as washed up country superstar Kelly Canter in this big ticket drama and we get to see the über talented Miss Paltrow strut her stuff to her own original songs.

After watching this film we couldn’t get those dirt-caked wranglers out of our minds. And we’ve noticed that the rest of Hollywood hasn’t been able to either. So to celebrate the release of Country Strong on DVD we’ve compiled the best of the latest country trends to help you become an ultra chic boot scooting babe in no time.

Gingham, overalls and denim aren\’t just the basic components of a country gal\’s wardrobe anymore. Thanks to Country Strong, we\’ve seen these trends being rocked down to a midi boot. Accompanied with gorgeous wavy locks and a pair of leather boots, you\’ll be rocking this look in no time!

If you look back to a few seasons ago, Dolce & Gabbana had an awe-inspiring campaign that took place in a barnyard and it looked amazing. From sweet as apple pie looks to city slicker, let us show you our interpretations on how to make you look like a country/city hybrid & in the most fashionable way, of course.

Gingham and plaid have been in and out of fashion quicker than you can say trend.  These laidback looks can look ultra-chic when teamed with the right accessories and attitude; just look at Gwyneth in Country Strong! Doesn\’t she just look stunning with her hair pulled back and a pair of dark-washed denims? Pretty gingham dresses in pinks and citruses will also look divine when coupled with picnics and strolls through the park on a warm summer\’s day. Likewise a plaid shirt paired with a skirt or high-waisted shorts and a gorgeous oversized blazer will have you ready to rock meetings, interviews and dinners.

Think: Gwyneth Paltrow, Rachel Bilson, Lauren Conrad

Overalls aren\’t just something your parents put you in when you were a child, they\’re a statement piece. To rock the one-piece is no easy feat, but let us tell you the ways that will bring out your inner rockabilly. Pair your overalls with a basic tee – no prints, no embellishments, nada. Add some leather biker boots to the mix to toughen up what otherwise might as well be an OshKosh for Kids look. Layer in some fine silver jewellery such as a mixture of long and short necklaces to complete this festive look.

Think: Jess Hart, Alexa Chung, Nicole Richie

Ah, the classic denim. A tale as old as time, jeans have been around for quite some time and have since evolved into many forms: the boyfriend jean, the skinny jean, the straight leg, the boot leg, the flare, the high-rise, the low-rise, the list goes on and on. What you have to know is that with new washes, fabrics and elasticity, there will be a pair that will suit and fit everybody. What you just have to do, is experiment. Don\’t be afraid of trialing the ‘ill-fated\’ Double Denim; I for one think it\’s quite hip – be it that the denim isn\’t chunky and you\’re mixing two different shades together. Think: a loose chambray top with dark-washed skinny jeans. Add in some boots or heels and you\’ve got a very cute outfit!

Think: Ashley Olsen, Kate Moss, Reese Witherspoon
