On Counter: Tom Ford’s Violet Blonde Fragrance Review

Violet Blonde is Tom Ford\’s newest fragrance; feminine, elegant and polished, it is great option for a divine evening out. With the glamboyant Lara Stone as the face of the campaign and photographed by Mert & Marcus, it’s so very Tom Ford:

“Violet Blonde has the spirit of a classical, European fragrance. It is formal, polished, and yet draws you in closer and closer, like a beautifully dressed woman whose refined presence charms, then fascinates, and ultimately seduces you,” says Tom Ford.

Quite powdery and soft, the unexpected twist on Violet is created by wrapping Violet Leaf Absolute with the textual notes of Orris, the precious root of the Iris flower, and infusing this pairing with the lush, erotic energy of Jasmine Sambac.

The bottle is equally as sophisticated as the fragrance. With its warm cognac hue and the transparent, fire-polished and ribbed glass bottle, it will sit perfectly by your bedside.

We found this to be a ‘mature’ scent with it’s strong powdery tones and gives off the image of a strong, sophisticated,  seductive and mysterious woman disappearing into the night.  Not for the soft hearted!

Violet Blonde comes in two EDP Spray sizes of 30ml RRP$100 and 50ml RRP$155.

Violet Blonde is available now, exclusively in David Jones City stores (Elizabeth St, Sydney; Oxford St, Bondi Junction; Bourke St, Melbourne; Chadstone, Melbourne; Rundle Mall, Adelaide; Queen St, Brisbane; Hay St, Perth).
