On Counter & Our Thoughts on COVERGIRL’s New Natureluxe Range

| 15 September , 2011 | Reply

Natureluxe is the newest makeup line from COVERGIRL. The new range exchanges heavier synthetics for more natural ingredients, delivering a polished makeup look with an easy, breeze feel.

The collection is fronted by country superstar and American sweetheart, Taylor Swift; a perfect choice in my eyes (I may be a bit biased as I love the Swift and may/may not be humming one of her songs right now&)

The range consists of the Natureluxe Silk Foundation, the Natureluxe Gloss Balm and the Natureluxe Mousse Mascara. Coming in a variety of colours and SPF (yay!), these little beauties will help you achieve that no-makeup makeup look. What’s more, they all smell delicious! I’m not sure about taste though, I’ll get back to you on that …

The Natureluxe Silk Foundation is a breath of fresh air to your make up. The cucumber water is refreshing and light to balance the creaminess on application, and a hint of jojoba and rosehip adds to the indulgent experience. The formula and packaging actually reminds me more of tinted moisturiser than foundation (light goodness!) It goes on smoothly, covers evenly and leaves skin feeling soft, smooth and silky.  At $18.95 each, the foundation is available in five shades: Flax, Bamboo, Sandstone, Dune and Maple.

The Natureluxe Gloss Balm is another gem to invest in. Soft lips with a hint of colour are so in right now (again, Taylor Swift), and heavily glossed lips are slowly on the way out (it can look like major dribble at time). Containing a lightweight blend of mango, shea and other natural butters, the light, silky application gives lips a soft finish that isn\’t heavy or sticky.  At $12.95 each, you can afford to buy all six (Grenache, Spice, Marble, Tulip, Sandstone, Coral) shades!

COVERGIRL Natureluxe Mousse Mascara is a new mousse mascara that exchanges a select few synthetic ingredients for natural beeswax, carnauba wax and tapioca polymers. These lighter-feeling alternatives give stunning volume whilst leaving lashes luxuriously light and lifted. The mascara brush has perfectly placed bristles which gives smooth lash contact with no clumping to create volume by smoothly blending as it coats.

The Natureluxe Mousse Mascara was a product I was dying to try (I mean mousse for your lashes?! That’s just cool). I was quite surprised by how easy it was to apply; it was quite a dream (to be cliche) to put it on as it went on so smoothly and clump-free. It’s perfect for those who want more defined and elongated lashes with a bit of a curl. So far, I’m loving it! I can barely feel it on – it’s that light – and for RRP$18.95 definitely a breeze buy. It comes in shades; Very Black and Black Brown, and Waterproof Very Black and Black Brown.
