Poppy Montgomery stars in the new US crime drama series Unforgettable which will premiere on Australian televison tonight (Thursday 6th October) at 8.30pm on Channel Nine.

Montgomery plays Carrie, a former detective who suffers from hyperthymesia; a condition which means that has a perfect memory. Carrie can’t forget anything, except for the details of her sister’s murder.

When Carrie is a witness to a brutal murder in her apartment building she is reunited with her ex-partner and ex-boyfriend, Detective Al Burns (played by Dylan Walsh of Nip/Tuck fame) as he works to solve the case. Carrie assists the NYPD with the investigation, and her power of recollection sees her back as a permanent fixture at the Police Station, and on her ex-boyfriend’s team. Carrie’s perfect memory helps to clean up the New York streets, but one mystery eludes her, who killed her sister all those years ago?

Unforgettable is based on the short story The Rememberer by American author J. Robert Lennon and was created by John Bellucci (Revolution) and Ed Redlich (Without a Trace).

Unforgettable premiers tonight (Thursday the 6th of October) at 8.30pm on Channel Nine.
