Say Aloha to Cleo’s Annual Swimsuit Party for 2011

The 2011 Cleo Annual Swimsuit Party took place last night (November 9th) fittingly on The Island, a floating open-air venue, on Sydney Harbour.

With the rain holding off, the event was a reflection of the Hawaiian locations where the annual Cleo Swim issue was photographed starring stunning Seafolly Ambassador Sarah Stephens – which is on stands now featuring the always gorgeous Miranda Kerr on the cover (check out the cover here).

With a cool summer vibe, open air roof and breathtaking views of the Sydney Opera House the beautiful people on board sipped on Midori cocktails, while DJ Minx kept the party tunes coming and Cleo Editor Gemma Crisp welcomed the crowd.

As the sun went down the Billabong swimwear models came out and despite a momentary power outage the runway show got underway. And kudos to the models for taking on a catwalk on a rocking boat, no easy task, but they pulled it off without a hitch or a fall.

Hot trends in the collection included floral prints, high waisted pants, frills, knots, pastel colours and a touch of nautical stripes.

Guests at the event included Channel V hosts Danny Clayton, Carissa Walford, Airlie Walsh, and Nathan Joliffe.
