First Look: Abbey Lee Kershaw is Floral Pretty for Flora by Gucci’s new Fragrances “The Garden Collection”
Here’s our first look at Abbey Lee Kershaw’s newest campaign for Flora by Gucci’s upcoming fragrances, The Garden Collection as photographed by Sølve Sundsbø. Featuring three new scents; Gorgeous Gardenia, Gracious Tuberose, Glamorous Magnolia, Generous Violet and Glorious Mandarin — all playing on the letter “G” “for Gucci, of course!
Gucci\’s creative director, Frida Giannini, shares with WWD who released the details (I’ve been sitting on them for a little while now under embargo) that the Garden Collection spans the five most important blossoms depitcted on an iconic Gucci scarf designed by Vittorio Accornero for Princess Grace in the Sixties. “It\’s a sort of bouquet of scents,” said Giannini.
And they dovetail from Flora by Gucci (which Abbey also is the face of – check our review here), the blockbuster women\’s scent introduced in 2009 with Gucci beauty licensee Procter & Gamble Prestige. And as for the campaign, Giannini said the concept behind it was:
“Basically, the idea was a sort of labyrinth where this woman was playing or walking or just sitting on the green,” explained Giannini.
