An “Eggs-travaganza” … A Fabergé Chocolate Egg is Hoping to become the World’s Most Expensive Non-Jewelled Egg

Last week, The Fabergé Big Egg Hunt, a charity event which is trying to break a world record for having the most participants in an Easter Egg Hunt with over 200 eggs hidden in secret locations throughout London with funds raised being  donated to the charties Action for Children & Elephant Family was launched at Potters Fields Park, Tower Bridge.

As part of this 40 day ‘eggs-travaganza’ is a hand-crafted chocolate egg by Chocolatier William curley for Fabergé, a five-time recipient of Britain’s Best Chocolatier award, is hoping to add another award to his chocolate shelf this time for creating the world’s most expensive non-jewelled egg (£1,000), when it goes under the hammer on March 20th.

The decadent creation, molded from exotic ingredients like Tuscan Amedei dark chocolate and Japanese wasabi chocolate, is joined by other high profile contributors such as Diane von Furstenberg, Sophie Dahl, the Chapman Brothers, Giles Deacon and Zandra Rhodes.
