Jennifer Lopez gets fierce for the cover and inside editorial for V Magazine’s #76 Spring 2012 issue as photographed by Mario Testino and styled by Carine Roitfeld. Channeling a boxer for the editorial we see J.Lo bare plenty of skin and put her man pants on, Roitfeld and Testino pushed for the more slicked-back, and masculine, aggressive styled photoshoot instead of her usual big-styled glamour shoots … and she owns the editorial sharing the synergy with what’s been going on for her recently:
“I can take a lot of punches and still keep going,” she says. “I\’ve been trained like a boxer to go 15 rounds.”
Inside Jennifer talks work and family and how she balances it all and keeps the friendship going with Marc Antony and the twins.
On her relationship with Marc Antony: “I mean, we\’re parents and friends first,” she says with a smidgen of exasperation. “That will be the thread that ties us together. I don\’t know if people expect it to be negative just because the [intimate] relation- ship didn\’t work out.” The professional relationship, however, is chugging lucratively along.
Disappointing Album Sales & Movie Flops: “You\’re not going to hit the target or the bull\’s-eye every time. That\’s part of it,” Lopez says. “At the end of the day, I made those choices. I\’ve been in the business now, I don\’t want to say how many years. You have amazing moments of recognition and success. But at this point in my life, I try to take it all with a grain of salt.”
